DescriptionThis GB-wide initiative is a partnership of the Timber Trade Federation, Forestry Industry Council of Great Britain, and the Forestry Trust for Conservation and Education. It is chaired by the Forestry Authority (part of the Forestry Commission). Key advisers include the Council for Environmental Education and the Scottish Environmental Education Council. Cluster groups are being developed throughout the country; this web site is maintained by the North East Scotland clustergroup. FEI has produced three resource packs, detailed in the "Publications" section,aimed at the Scottish school curriculum for which further links are provided. "Tree Trunks"are resource boxes containing books, videos, posters etc. for distribution to schools. Contacts throughout Scotland are included with details of puzzles and art competitions. A pop-up window advertises current meetings.
