DescriptionDas "Museum für das forstliche Versuchswesen" houses more than 800 exhibits, among which are several treasures like original documents from the student days of Josef Ressels, who had invented the "Schiffschraube". Other interesting objects include an extensive collection of 1500 Woodtypes, a "Xylothek" of the important trees of Austria, old forestry equipments etc. The Museum exhibits also different tools which were in use in the past to study the influence of weather on tree increment.
