DescriptionThe Montréal Process is a working group on criteria and indicators for the conservation and sustainable management of temperate and boreal forests. It was formed in Geneva, Switzerland in June 1994 to "develop and implement internationally agreed criteria and indicators for the conservation and sustainable management of temperate and boreal forests". There are twelve member countries: Argentina, Australia, Canada, Chile, China, Japan, Republic of Korea, Mexico, New Zealand, Russian Federation, United States of America and Uruguay. The site includes details of meetings, events and links to information about member countries.
