DescriptionThe International Research Group on Wood Preservation (IRG) was launched in 1969 as an independent research group. IRG now has over 300 members in 49 countries, comprising scientists with common research interests in wood preservation and biodeterioration. The IRG holds annual conferences at which the various working parties (Biology, Test Methodology and Assessment, Wood Protecting Chemicals, Processes and Properties, and Environmental Aspects) present papers (IRG Documents). These can be ordered online for a fee. In addition, various newsletters, lists of documents and details of reports can be downloaded from the site in PDF format, which requires the Adobe Acrobat Reader. Information about past and forthcoming conferences is also available.
