|Description||This Website contains details of, and links to, the contents of the Society's journals: Journal of Forestry, The Forestry Source, Forest Science, Northern Journal of Applied Forestry, Southern Journal of Applied Forestry and the Western Journal of Applied Forestry. The Journal of Forestry, published monthly, is the "premier scholarly journal in forestry", which aims to "to advance the profession of forestry by keeping professionals informed about significant developments and ideas in forest science, natural resources management, and forest policy". Forest Science, published quarterly, publishes research articles on: silviculture, soils, biometry, disease, recreation, photosynthesis, tree physiology, aspects of management and harvesting, and policy analysis. The regional journals, published quarterly, are aimed at foresters in North America. The Forestry Source is the newspaper of the Society of American Foresters. Subscription details are available for all journals. It is possible to browse the tables of contents and abstracts for all journals for free from 1997 to 2000. It is also possible to search the contents for all journals, except The Forestry Source, via ingenta for free for a trial period.
