DescriptionThe Laboratory at the INRA Forest Research Unit of Bordeaux, conducts research in: population and evolutionary genetics of Fagaceae species, tropical trees of the French Guyana rain forest and Maritime pine; genetic mapping, QTL analysis and marker assisted selection in Maritime pine and Eucalyptus; proteome analysis; genome analysis; and tree improvement and selection methods in Maritime pine, Black pine, Yellow poplar and Northern red oak. The laboratory is involved in several EU projects. Genetic maps are presented for the main species studied. The site includes literature reviews on: Molecular marker for linkageanalysis in forest trees; Mapping and QTL (in French); and Conifer map review; and abstracts of recent reports from the laboratory.
