DescriptionThe Australian Tree Seed Centre (ATSC) is "a central contact point for seed and information about the woody component of Australia's floral biodiversity." Their site provides information on their publications and projects. The projects include 'Domestication of Australian Trees (DAT); the developmment of a sustainable, community-based essential oil industry in the Western Province of Papua New Guinea using the region's woody-plant species; the South Pacific Regional Initiative on Forest Genetic Resources (SPRIG); and various farm forestry extension projects. A large seed database of Australian tree species is searchable from here, and seeds can be ordered by email.
