DescriptionWebsite of the Bluelists, which contain information on the ecology and conservation measures of the threatened species. Blue Lists (BL) are registers of those Red-List-species that show an overall and durable stabilisation or increase in abundance in the region considered. The website contain detailed descriptions of the species covered, but also outline the conservation measures that were or could be applied and the time period and the region covered. Some examples of Blue List species in the part of Switzerland covered by the project are documented at this site. The Blue List concept was developed in 1998 by Andreas Gigon and Regula Langenauer of the Geobotanical Institute ETH, Zurich, as well as Claude Meier and Bernhard Nievergelt of the Zoological Institute of the University of Zurich, Switzerland.
