The major contents of this paper are a report on mongolian forests, introduction and creation of an "identity card" for each new chemical introduced into the nine member countries of the European Economic Community (EEC), an abstract of a "Vegetation Map of the Council of Europe Member States" published by the European Committee for the Conservation of Nature and Natural Resources (IUCN) and curricula trends in US forestry schools. The vegetation Map, presenting 96 vegetation units with the names of the principal communities and identification of various features for each unit, can be ordered from FAO.
