DescriptionThe Center for Sustainability and the Global Environment (SAGE) of the University of Wisconsin-Madison conducts interdisciplinary research on environmental problems, disseminating the results through "instruction and outreach" at the University with the aim of incorporating findings into decision-making and public policy. The Web site provides details about the Centre and its staff and events, information on global systems, land use, water, agriculture, ecosystems, human health, and science and policy, as well as providing details of its publications some of which have abstracts, downloadable datasets, and links to related Web sites, journals and data sources. The Atlas of the Biosphere is also provided, which contains maps documenting environmental phenomena across the globe, such as water resources, ecosystems, land use patterns, and human impact.
