DescriptionWebsite of the NATMAN European Project. Information on past- and present-natural forest composition, structures and process associated with natural beech forests are to be collected through the pan-European range of native beech forests. The findings will form the reference point for nature-based management of beech forests. The principal aim is to see how management impacts on natural beech forests, what advantages nature-based forestry has on contemporary management, and what methods are suitable to naturally regenerate beech forests. A list of project partners, project summary, newsletters, working report and a discussion board and other publications of NATMAN are available at this site.
