DescriptionCRANN was set up by Jan Alexander in 1986 to raise awareness of the importance of sustainable home-grown hardwood forestry to meet Ireland's timber needs. CRANN's objectives and aims are to increase the broadleaf tree cover in Ireland that currently lies just under 1% of the total land area. Over the past fifteen years Crann has been taking part in a vast range of activities. Information to the diverse projects, activities like seed collecting, tree planting, hedgelaying etc. can be accessed at this site.
